Visa and Reciprocity Fee Processes

Visa Process (please include which country you are from):

Reciprocity Fee Process:

From the United States:

  • 1. Go to https://reciprocidad.provincianet.com.ar/ and create an account
  • 2. Enter in your information and pay the $160 fee
  • 3. Save the reciprocity fee receipt with the BARCODE as a .pdf and print it. It’s good for ten years but you should have a copy with you whenever you enter Argentina.
  • 4. At least for United, you can’t actually check-in for your flight without showing your reciprocity fee receipt to a United agent.
  • 5. Keep your reciprocity fee receipt with your passport. You will need to show it again when you are boarding the plane. Make sure the BARCODE is on your printed receipt. They may not let you fly if your receipt does not have the BARCODE.
  • 6. Once you arrive in Argentina you will need to show your reciprocity fee receipt to the customs agent. After this you don’t really need it, but it’s better to keep it with you just in case.

Note: Make sure you get to the airport fairly early when you are leaving to come back to the U.S. The passport control line to leave Argentina can be quite long and there’s a secondary security screening before you board the plane. You are not allowed to bring any liquid on the plane leaving Argentina, including water. They will take it away at the secondary screening.
