Steve to send informal note to RFC Editor, noting that the documents
are going through a final review to check for normative references.

When Keith completes his review and notifies Steve, the formal
    announcement will be sent.

    7. The IESG approved the new Internet-Draft boilerplate, specifically
the inclusion of the following text:

All Internet-Drafts should begin with ONE of the following three
    statements:

This document is an Internet-Draft and is in full conformance
with all provisions of Section 10 of RFC2026.

This document is an Internet-Draft and is in full conformance
with all provisions of Section 10 of RFC2026 except for the
    right to produce derivative works.

This document is an Internet-Draft and is NOT offered in
accordance with Section 10 of RFC2026, and will only exist as
    an Internet-Draft.

informing them of the changes to the I-D guidelines document. Steve
is also to send a note to the WG Chairs.

    13. The IESG tentatively approved publication of Point-to-Point
Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) <draft-ietf-pppext-pptp-07.txt> as an
Informational RFC. Vern and Thomas to inform Steve when they are
happy with the document. Steve will send announcement after
    notified.

    14. More work is needed on IP Network Address Translator (NAT)
    Terminology and Considerations <draft-ietf-nat-terminology-01.txt>,
so the document has been withdrawn from IESG consideration.

    withdrawn from IESG consideration.

    RFC. Steve to send announcement.

    19. The IESG consensus on Multicast Manager <draft-seif-ion-mcm-01.txt>
was that it not be published as an Informational RFC. The document
has only marginal relevance to the IETF and Internet. The IESG
suggests that the authors pursue more appropriate avenues of
publication, perhaps starting with the ATM Forum.

Steve to convey to RFC Editor.

    20. The IESG agreed that Notification - An extension to the Post Office
Protocol version 3 <draft-tornkvist-pop3-01.txt> not be published.
Steve to send note to RFC Editor stating that the IESG agreed with
Patrik's analysis (sent to RFC Editor previously).

    21. The IESG felt that Multicast Discovery of DNS Services
<draft-manning-multicast-dns-01.txt> should not be published at this
time. A revised document is anticipated following a discussion
between the author and the DNSIND WG. Steve to convey to RFC Editor.

    22. The IESG recommends that Documenting Special Use IPv4 Address Blocks
<draft-manning-dsua-00.txt> NOT be published at this time. Scott has
already sent mail to the author about address blocks missing. Steve
    to convey to RFC Editor.

    23. The IESG recommended that H.323 Firewall Control Interface (HFCI)
<draft-rfced-info-mercer-00.txt> not be published at this time.
Marcus pointed out that this work is similar to that being done by
the AFT WG, and they will be contacting the author.

    24. The IESG had no problem with the publication of BGP/MPLS VPNs
<draft-rosen-vpn-mpls-01.txt> as an Informational RFC. Steve to
    notify RFC Editor.

    25. The IESG agreed that RFC1944 should be republished, correcting the
errors discovered with the current version. The new RFC will also
include the following as an IESG Note:

This document is a republication of RFC 1944 correcting the
values for the IP addresses which were assigned to be used as the
default addresses for networking test equipment (See section
C.2.2). This RFC replaces and obsoletes RFC 1944.

    26. Once ascertained that there was no dependency on dnsind-rfc2052bis,
the IESG approved publication of SIP: Session Initiation Protocol
    <draft-ietf-mmusic-sip-12.txt> as a Proposed Standard.

    Steve to send announcement.
