[00:33:04] <alexander.pelov> Hello all, I'll be your Jabber Scribe
[00:33:45] <Alan DeKok> audio works well, so that's good
[00:34:45] <Alan DeKok> "data types" was just accepted for publication by the IESG
[00:34:49] Simon Romano joins the room
[00:35:10] <Alan DeKok> I'll need to spin another revision after the IP-Port document has done it's IANA updates
[00:35:52] <Alan DeKok> so that the data types document includes data types for the IP-port attributes…
[00:36:10] <Alan DeKok> thanks
[00:36:58] <alexander.pelov> sure, my pleasure

[00:47:26] <Alan DeKok> vendors have historically had a hard time keeping web servers up (e.g. for firmware updates).  Or, keeping domains registered.  so there is a large chance that the URI is non-existent, or malicious
[00:49:45] <Alan DeKok> parsing json is hard… lots of buffer overlows in json parsers.  and timeouts on non-existent URIs can affect RADIUS servers…
[00:50:09] <Alan DeKok> yes, pretty much answered my questions.
[00:50:42] <Alan DeKok> I think it's interesting and useful
[01:07:22] <jimsch1> It might be interesting to think about co-locating the DHCP server with the access point.  THen share a key back from the RADIUS server derived from the MSK to the AP which can then share it with the DHCP server
[01:19:50] <alexander.pelov> -
[01:26:15] zhenjie deng joins the room
[01:32:46] <jimsch1> alan: Good to know that you are looking at this.  I was trying to think about how to put some of this into either the TLS document or having to write it.  Letting you write it is much easier for me.
