SCTP Draft Updates Updated IPR Clause Session Control changed to align with MPA Eliminated Negotiate message - only one exchange per side. Added Explicit Reject message Allows differentiation between “unable to connect with peer” and “peer does not want to connect with you”. Guaranteed minimum private data size but only 512 bytes, not MPA’s theoretical 64K-1. Dealt with small PDUs Guaranteed minimum PDU size for DDP Segments and Session Messages. Allowed use of SCTP fragmentation if needed to send minimum size. Prior draft would have required IP fragmentation, which is rejected by too many firewalls. |
