Typed Wildcard FEC Procedures When contained in a FEC TLV the Typed Wildcard MUST be the only FEC element in the TLV. An implementation that supports the Typed Wildcard MUST support it for Label Request, Label Withdraw, and Label Release messages. A Label Request message with a Typed Wildcard is a request to send a Label Mapping for every FEC of that type . An implementation that supports the Typed Wildcard MUST support the following constraints whenever it appears in a Label Withdraw or Label Release message: If the message contains a Label TLV the wildcard refers to all FEC’s of the specified type bound to the label; If the message has no Label TLV the wildcard refers to every FEC of the specified type. |
