Storagesync -- Mechanisms to synchronize client file systems with Internet-based data storage services | |
About Storagesync | |
Network-based storage services, such as cloud storage, attract huge numbers of users and produce a significant share of Internet traffic. But most existing network storage services make use of proprietary sync protocols to achieve data synchronization. Almost all of them have proved not to be efficient enough and should be improved. This mailing list is for discussion of problems caused by inefficient proprietary sync protocols and of alternatives that can be more efficient and standardized. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Storagesync Archives. |
